It is a miracle that video games come out as often as they do. Sometimes they are glitchy and should have spent more time in the oven, but overall the release schedule is well-defined. This is due in part to the fact that Need For Speed: The Run will allow gamers to finally exit their vehicles as they take part in highly cinematic quick-time sequences to further the game’s story. This is not to say that the focus of the game will deviate from the racing though, as the Run For The Hills and Limited Edition trailers promise that racing will still be the star of the show....

After holding out hope that the event could be held live, Gamescom organizers made the call to cancel the event and move to a fully digital format for this year. For those who have yet to jump aboard that train, a company called Aura is helping gamers get in on it with its GammaNow service. GammaNow is an app that uses the idle processing power of a PC in order to power the Gamma blockchain network, which pitches itself as an alternative to the Ethereum network (which itself is a rival to Bitcoin). After a computer sits idle for around 20 seconds, GammaNow will kick in and begin to use the processing power to process tasks on the network and in doing so, users will earn Gamma Points....
