Now that two major retailers have announced their exclusive add-ons, we can expect places like Best Buy and Wal-Mart to announce exclusive add-ons soon. This brings up the question: are exclusive add-ons from retailers a good thing for gamers?

This is trend is obviously good for the retailers, forcing customers to pick a specific store to purchase their games at based on the added content. However, this puts gamers who buy from retailers without add-ons behind the curve before they even remove the plastic wrap from their game. This removes skill from the games and allows people to buy their way to the top of the leader boards.

Are you going to pre-order Gran Turismo 5 in order to get one of these exclusive cars? And do you think that Exclusive add-on content is a dangerous trend in gaming? Let us know in the comments.

Barring any delays, you can drive these exclusive cars, or any of the other 1000 included cars, when Gran Turismo 5 hits the PlayStation 3 on November 2, 2010.
