Netflix has been delving deeper into the gaming world, including their recent release of the League of Legends adaptation Arcane. In time for the holidays, though, Netflix has released the newest installment of The Princess Switch movies. In these movies, the main star Venessa Hudgens plays identical characters with different clothes and accents to differentiate between them. Hudgens plays out various shenanigans throughout the movies, switching places with the other Hudgens look-a-likes and, ultimately, saves Christmas against the odds of a deadline.

Fans often can’t get enough of their favorite shows or games and turn them into tabletop versions, like the fan who added characters and classes from Final Fantasy 14 to Dungeons and Dragons E5. User ‘pjnick300’ took to Reddit to announce their tabletop adaptation of The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star. The game was modeled after Lasers and Feelings system and used up to 3d6 to help the Hudgenses.
The game features one-page lite rules making it perfect for anyone new to tabletop games like The Witch is Dead. The player picks a number between two and five. A high number represents “Responsibility” (planning, debate, deliberate action) in which the numbers on the d6 need to be lower. In contrast, a low number signifies an affinity to “Feeling” (intuition, diplomacy, passionate action), and the d6 numbers need to be higher. Another d6 is added if the activity relates to the character’s occupation if they are speaking in their accent, and another if they are impersonating another Hudgens, making a total of three d6 dice.
The creator made sure to include a note that “Any pronunciation of Hudgens, Hudgenses, or Hudgenses’ is valid.” Though the game is simple, it gives players the ability to summon their holiday spirit and play in a Christmas setting in a game just in time for the approaching season.
