The hotly anticipated fourth chapter of Fortnite brought a wealth of new content after being teased following the Fortnite Chapter 3 Fracture event. Excitement ramped up even more after the release of the first cinematic trailer for Chapter 4, which confirmed the appearance of gaming icons Geralt of Rivia and the Doom Slayer. Both characters are featured as skins in Chapter 4 alongside original designs like The Ageless, who can be found in The Citadel as a hostile character who attacks players on sight.

These Fortnite battle pass skins were incorporated as characters in a movie poster made by a fan on the Fortnite subreddit. The poster is based on Chapter 4 Season 1, but also features previous season skins such as The Foundation skin from Chapter 3. The artist seems to have done the poster in the style of modern superhero movies with multiple principal characters featured with one being prominent in the background.
The two focal points of the poster are The Ageless and Jonesy, an original skin that goes all the way back to Chapter 1. Jonesy has become an icon for the game due to his prominence in the early era of Fortnite. He is placed in the center of the poster, possibly as a hero to combat The Ageless, potentially playing off of Fortnite lore.
Fortnite’s massive amount of success in its relatively short life makes it a prime candidate for a feature film adaptation. Past actions from developer Epic Games suggest that a Fortnite movie could be in the works as part of the company’s efforts to expand into other forms of media. Video game adaptations in film and television do not have the greatest reputation, but recent works such as Arcane based on League of Legends or the two live-action Sonic the Hedgehog movies have shown that, with the right efforts, video game adaptations can be successful both critically and commercially.
Fortnite’s wide fanbase makes it so that an adaptation of the game would likely do well regardless of how it is received critically. Fan creations such as this poster show that there is an audience for a Fortnite movie. As both Fortnite and video game adaptations continue to grow in popularity, the prospect of a Fortnite movie becomes more likely every day.
Fortnite is available for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
